Description
The Sophos AP6 420E Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6E Access Point is a next-generation security-driven access point designed for high-performance enterprise networks. By leveraging the Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) standard, it adds a dedicated 6 GHz radio to the existing 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. This tri-band architecture provides a massive increase in capacity and ultra-low latency, effectively eliminating network congestion by opening up a “clean” wireless spectrum for compatible devices.
It features a 2.5G Multi-Gigabit Ethernet port, ensuring that your wired backbone doesn’t bottleneck the high-speed wireless traffic.
Enterprise Performance and Ecosystem Integration
-
Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6E: Operates across three bands (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz), providing more channels and less interference from legacy devices.
-
Multi-Gigabit Wired Port: Equipped with a 2.5 GbE interface to support the increased throughput of the 6 GHz spectrum.
-
Sophos Central Management: Managed exclusively through the Sophos Central cloud platform, allowing you to control your wireless, firewall, and endpoint security from a unified dashboard.
-
Synchronized Security: Integrates with the Sophos ecosystem to provide “Active Threat Response,” which can automatically isolate compromised devices to prevent the spread of threats across your network.
